Purket Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data the Purket app (“the App”) collects, how it is used, where it is stored, and with whom it is shared.

1. Summary

The App is local-first. If you use the App without signing in, all budgeting data stays on your device and is not sent anywhere.
When you sign in with an account, some data is stored on a cloud server to enable backup, multi-device sync, and pocket sharing.
The App does not use advertising identifiers (IDFA) and does not track users across apps or websites.

2. Data We Process

2-1. When you are not signed in

Budget data (pockets, categories, wallets, amounts, memos, dates, recurring rules, etc.): stored on your device only.
Account information: none.

2-2. When you sign up / sign in

To provide account features (backup/restore, multi-device use, pocket sharing), we process the following:

Account information
- Email address, password (stored as a one-way hash), user unique identifier
- Nickname (optional, shown to members of a shared pocket)
- Authentication metadata such as account creation and last sign-in timestamps
Budget-related data: income/expense records (amount, memo, date, type, category, wallet, pocket), user-defined categories, wallets and pockets, recurring rules and their last-generated dates.
When you use sharing: information about the shared pocket, owner and participant identifiers, permission (read/write), share invitation link details and expiration timestamps.

3. Purpose of Processing

Account authentication and session management
Cloud backup of your data and synchronization across your devices
Issuing share invitation links and allowing invited participants to view/record data in a shared pocket
Maintaining service reliability and handling errors

4. Sub-processors (Third Parties)

The App relies on the following service for authentication and cloud storage:

Supabase — Account authentication and cloud database hosting. The account, budget, and sharing data described above are stored here. Access is restricted so that only you and users you have explicitly shared with can access the data.

We do not sell your personal data or share it with any third party other than the sub-processor above.

5. Data Storage Location

Account and budget-related data are stored and processed on servers in the Seoul, Republic of Korea region.

6. Optional Permissions & On-Device Processing

Notifications (optional): used for local reminders such as recurring entries.
The App schedules/displays notifications on device only and does not use remote push notifications.
No device push tokens are collected or transmitted.
You can change or revoke notification permissions in iOS Settings at any time.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Locally stored data is removed when you uninstall the App.
When you delete your account, the account and all budget/sharing data associated with it are removed from the server.
Depending on your OS/iCloud backup settings, app data may be backed up by Apple; the developer cannot access your backups.

8. Your Rights

You can view, modify, and delete your data in the App at any time. To request account deletion or exercise any right to access, correction, deletion, or objection to processing, contact us at the address below.

9. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect or store children’s personal information.

10. Security

All communication with the server is encrypted using HTTPS (TLS).
Data on the server is protected by per-user access policies so that only you and users you have shared with can access it.
Passwords are stored as one-way hashes; the developer cannot see the plaintext.

12. Changes

We may update this policy due to legal or feature changes. The latest version will always be available on this page.
